About Kate Duke
Kate Duke, your everyday 'Canadian' woman, with a passion for health AND an obsession with Science.
"My journey began, as with most of us, at home; my exposure to both the kitchen & sports being the foundation of my understanding of the human body & its processes. After dedicating myself to my sport, I earned a starting position on Team Canada's roster at 16; although thriving, it was here that the painful truths of being a female athlete were exposed, and I realized beating this system meant adapting my dreams. I began my 'professional' work with a youth sports internship at my local newspaper & was picked up by a larger paper. from here, i became in-house media for the Peninsula Panthers (VIJHL), & then into the roles of Sponsorship Coordinator, In-House Media & DirectorSHIP for the Westshore Rebels (CJFL). My studies began with elementary teaching, but ultimately transitioned into the fields of Kinesiology & Nutritional Science. In my 3rd year of University, I began training with Pro/pro-pathed athletes, developing into nutrition as my studies progressed. The combination of these paths, and with some of the most beautiful people, Kedo Union Company has now truly become a life's collaboration."
